Everything Else

This page of my blog will be dedicated to everything else I am doing right now that is not craft related.

I recently quit my job of 13 years to move to another state.  I have yet to find another job and I spend my days between jobs spending time with my toddler, our dog, and cat while my husband is away at work for the week.

The menagerie is quite entertaining and definitely make my life more interesting.  For instance, my daughter has recently made up a story about an older sister named, Vaina Flower.  Flower, as my daughter likes to call her was apparently eaten by a shark before my current daughter was born.

My daughter is my only child; there was never any other siblings.

She initially told this story to a seven year-old girl that she had just met at the local library.  The poor little girl sat there with mouth agape, shocked about such a story.  It made me laugh because my daughter said it with sincere conviction and total honesty.  I told the poor little girl that it was just a story, but I waited a few minutes to tell her so I could finish chuckling.

My daughter keeps me in stitches.  And yes, I'm trying to document everything she says and does that might be used later for some high school yearbook embarrassment.

So the absolute latest event occurred this morning.  My daughter was standing in front of a mirror, checking herself out; boy does she love mirrors.  A few seconds later she takes off her panties and hangs them from the crack in her bum.  She walked around a few steps and then declared herself a pony.  I was cracking up and wondering why NO ONE was ever around to witness these things!  I swear I am not making this up.

She is a marvel to me and my biggest inspiration.  She amazes me everyday with her beautiful heart and soul.  I am so lucky to have been blessed by such an angel.
